Welcome to the Omaha/Gretna, NE Chapter.

We have the following openings for the 2018-19 school year:

  • 2 students / Pre-Grammar 3-4 year olds class (Catechesis of Good Shepherd, included)
  • 1 student / Grammar 5-7 year olds class
  • 1 student / Grammar 8-11 year olds class
  • Dialectic – limited openings available

Due to limited openings in Grammar, we understand that entire families are not able to enroll at this time, so contact us to learn more about Grammar enrollment.  To accommodate families considering Dialectic student enrollment, we are waiving the parent requirement to be on-site during classes for new families enrolling only Dialectic students.

Contact us to arrange an information meeting* to learn more.

Catholic Schoolhouse is loyal to the magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.

~ Catholic Schoolhouse Overview ~

Catholic Schoolhouse meets Tuesday mornings (8:30am-12:15pm) for 24 weeks at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gretna, NE.  It’s a flexible program designed to help homeschool families enrich their educational experience by offering a complete scope and sequence learning approach to 8 subjects inspired through a classical model and presented in a structured and enriching environment. The entire family has a place here at Catholic Schoolhouse.  We offer a nursery for infants and toddlers and a pre-school for 3-4 year olds.  Our Grammar Stage classes are for students 5 to 12 years old and our Dialectic Class is for students 12-14 years old.

Catholic Schoolhouse offers unity and cohesiveness to your homeschool as your entire family can study the same subjects while allowing students to engage with the material appropriate for their learning stage.  This is how the one room school format of Catholic Schoolhouse can enrich your one room homeschool.

Catholic Schoolhouse is not a drop-off program.   We believe parents can offer a more enriching experience at home when they know what is presented during class.  Our chapter is also a community where we support each other.  So, at Catholic Schoolhouse parents are required to attend classes with their students and participate by being a classroom mentor (compensation included to off-set fees), or serve our chapter community by helping mentors in the classroom, assisting in the nursery, or help organize field trips, special events, etc.

*Arranging an information meeting is required before registering with the chapter.
