Catholic Schoolhouse is loyal to the magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.

~ Catholic Schoolhouse Overview ~

Catholic Schoolhouse meets Tuesday mornings (8:30am-12:15pm) for 24 weeks at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gretna, NE.  CSH is a flexible program designed to help homeschool families enrich their educational experience by offering a complete scope and sequence learning approach to 8 subjects inspired through a classical model and presented in a structured and enriching environment. The entire family has a place here at Catholic Schoolhouse.  We offer a nursery for infants and toddlers and a pre-school for 3-4 year olds.  Our Grammar Stage classes are for students 5 to 12 years old and our Dialectic Class is for students 12-14 years old.

Our CSH families use a variety of curricula along-side CSH including MODG, Seton, and others.  CSH is also flexible for families that use Charlotte Mason methodologies or create their own lesson plans from a variety of sources.  There is no wrong way to use CSH and so how it’s used varies with each family.  It’s a true testimony to the flexibility of the CSH program!

Many families enjoy how CSH offers unity and cohesiveness to their homeschool especially with the subjects of History, Geography, Science, Art, Music, and Saints because the entire family can study these subjects together with minor adaptations that allow each child to engage with the material appropriate for their learning stage.  CSH makes “Morning Time” easy to plan and use with multiple ages, too.  This is how the one room school format of Catholic Schoolhouse can enrich your one room homeschool.

Catholic Schoolhouse is not a drop-off program.   We believe parents can offer a more enriching experience at home when they know what is presented during class.  Our chapter also serves to build community by offering fellowship where friendships (children and adults) can blossom and grow.  We desire to be a strong Catholic-centric community where we support each other in our homeschool and in our hearts.  At Catholic Schoolhouse, parents help in the classroom, assist in the nursery, and help organize field trips, special events, etc. Parents who mentor classes are compensated financially which can help off-set program fees.

*Arranging an information meeting is required before registering with the chapter.
